The ITAA-KSCT joint symposium will celebrates its 7th meeting in 2025 and invites abstract submissions from across the full spectrum of clothing and textiles disciplines. The symposium aims to provide opportunities for scholars with diverse interests to engage in meaningful conversations, advance knowledge, and collaboratively shape the future.

Symposium Theme: “Catalysts for Change: Innovation and Coexistence”

We welcome submissions of theoretical, empirical, experimental, and case study research for oral and poster presentations. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  •  Advanced textiles for health and safety
  •  Creative research methods in fashion and textiles
  •  Rethinking fashion theory and practice in a post-digital era
  •  The influence of social media, influencers, and virtual fashion communities

Submission Deadline: June 15, 2025


Submission Guidelines:  

Abstract: Prepare the abstract using 1-inch margins on all sides of letter-sized paper, Times New Roman, font size 12, for all text, including titles. The title should be centered on the top of the page, using Title Case, bold font, 30 word maximum. Excluding references, document must not be over 2 pages (single spacing) in length, including all figures and tables. References can be on the third page, but must not go over 1 page in length. References should use either APA or Chicago style. The paper must be a finished copy and show no editing marks. Indicate the type of presentation you would prefer: oral or poster.
